Wells + Associates recently participated in the Big Green Commute, a week-long, friendly competition between companies that scores participating employees based on how they get to work. The more “sustainable” the commuting method, the higher the score. Employees biked, walked, took transit, carpooled, and more.
Big Green Commute was started by ZGF Architects LLP and is annually supported by donor companies. This year the BGC raised $6,100 for the Coalition for Smarter Growth and Community of Hope – the BGC’s largest number yet. These organizations use the support generated from the BGC to provide transit subsidies for low-income and homeless residents and to strengthen programs designed to allow more people to have a greener commute. Interested in participating in 2017? More information on the Big Green Commute can be found on their website at www.biggreencommute.com.
