Senior Traffic Engineer / Transportation Planner

Duties
- Perform advanced, specialized engineering/planning work requiring independent judgment
- Manage client relationships
- Prepare and manage proposals and budgets
- Coordinate and lead the work of junior staff on multi-faceted projects
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Prepare technical reports
- Perform QA/QC procedures
- Present information and/or findings to public agencies, review boards, governing bodies, and community groups
- Participate in W+A internal committees to assist the company in achieving its overall goals
- Other duties as directed by Principal Associates
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning, or equivalent experience
- P.E. License or AICP Certification
- 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning
- Project management experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation experience
- Proficiency with traffic analysis software, (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience training and mentoring junior staff
- Has some experience with consulting
- Drivers’ license and personal transportation
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
