We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Springfield Community Business Center (CBC) Commuter Parking Garage in Springfield, VA! This important addition to Fairfax County’s transportation infrastructure is set to improve local commutes and provide enhanced access to public transit options, community events, and much more.
At Wells + Associates, we were proud to contribute to the project by offering essential transportation services, which included conducting a traffic operational analysis, creating a transportation management plan, and developing a traffic signal modification plan. These elements were vital in ensuring the new garage operates smoothly and remains accessible to all commuters.
The Springfield CBC Commuter Parking Garage is designed to meet the community’s needs, offering over 1,100 parking spaces, a state-of-the-art transit center, secure bike storage, ridesharing (slug line) zones, and even a green roof space. Additionally, the garage features areas designed to host community events, further integrating it into the heart of Springfield.
Congratulations to all our partners and stakeholders, including the Fairfax County Government, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, WDG, and many more, who played crucial roles in bringing this project to life.
We look forward to seeing how the Springfield CBC Commuter Parking Garage will continue to enhance the daily lives of Fairfax County residents and commuters.
