In our 30th year of business, Wells + Associates recalls three memorable projects that our team worked on in Tysons, Virginia. The redevelopment of Tysons Corner into a new, urbanized, transit-oriented city has included extensive transportation-related changes.
In this video we mention our collaborative work on:
- The Boro mixed-use area with the Meridien Group starting back in 2009, which included extensive work with Fairfax County, VDOT, engineers, landscape architects, and other consultants;
- The Tysons Partnership TMA, managing site-specific transportation demand management programs since 2015, including office developments such as MITRE, residential developments such as Lumen, and mixed use developments such as The Boro;
- Tysons West, also generally known as the “Walmart” site – one of the earliest redevelopment cases in the Tysons area before the extension of Metrorail’s Silver Line.
