Wells + Associates is pleased to announce that Jim Watson has rejoined our firm as part of the transportation planning and engineering team. A veteran transportation consultant with over 15 years of experience in private- and public-sector projects, Jim began his transportation consulting career at W+A.
While Jim has nationwide experience in the transportation planning profession, he has a particular expertise in handling cutting-edge urban transportation projects and issues, including significant experience in the District of Columbia. Our principal Jami Milanovich stated, “I look forward to working with Jim on the diverse projects we handle in Washington, D.C. Jim’s expertise in conducting Comprehensive Transportation Reviews, multi-modal analyses, and parking analyses is a tremendous asset to our team and our clients.”
With certifications from both the American Planning Association (AICP) and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (PTP), Jim brings wide-ranging experience to W+A. He has experience managing roadway, curbside management, parking, site access, loading, and transit-oriented projects for clients. He is also experienced developing the transportation aspects of master plans for a variety of campuses and municipalities, ranging from detailed downtown, university, and federal campus plans to those for local schools as well as suburban and rural municipalities.
“Having worked with Jim on many projects during his first years with us, I am excited to have him rejoin our team,” said Michael Workosky, president of Wells + Associates. “We served clients from coast to coast, and I know that many of our team members join me in welcoming Jim back.”
