Traffic Engineering, Parking, and Transportation Planning for Florida Retail Center

Wells + Associates was retained by Kravco Company to provide traffic engineering, parking, and planning services in Florida related to the redevelopment of the Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, a 1.0 million S.F. retail and entertainment center, located on Sunrise Boulevard within the Fort Lauderdale City limits.

Our team of traffic engineers and transportation planners collected existing traffic counts, developed traffic projections, and prepared a traffic assessment of the property.  This included a discussion of the external and internal road system, capacity analyses at key intersections and locations, parking access and design, and on-site circulation issues.  This information was used by the development team to plan the renovation of the site and gain improved access through interactions with the Florida Department of Transportation.

The shopping center has been an overwhelming success for several years subsequent to its renovation and upgrades.
